McKamey Manor is an extreme haunted house attraction that is run by Russ McKamey. The house only allows people 21 and over into it where they sign a 40 page waver, which explains that they may experience anything from getting your head shaved to getting teeth and nails pulled out. The house was operating in San Diego, but moved to Tennessee. The house has no entry fee and offers participants a 2000 dollar reward if they complete every “torture chamber”. Participants are not permitted to have any kind of outside recording device. Although the waver emphasizes the house is a game, one woman claimed that she was water boarded for minutes after yelling out the safe word. Another customer nearly suffocated after being submerged in dirt and denied water when begging for it. Participants have been sent to the hospital for injuries related to the house and one marine was stopped from continuing by McKamey himself for their own safety. Many speculate this is an attempt to legally torture people and the fact that the torture is filmed makes people believe that McKamey is selling torture tapes on the dark web to fund the house. People have speculated that there is no 2000 dollar prize, and that McKamey is doing this due to a torture fettish.The police have been called to the establishment multiple times,but the house still operates. McKamey has claimed that the Tennessee location is more mental torture rather than physical torture. People involved in the haunted house business have harshly criticized McKamey and want his establishment shut down for good.
